About Nancy
Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA is the author of Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple (2010) and co-author of Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers, 2nd Edition (2010), and three editions of The Breastfeeding Answer Book. She has been helping breastfeeding families since 1982. Board-certified in 1991, she ran a large private practice in the Chicago area from 1993 to 2003. Nancy is Chair of the Leadership Team of the developing Mothers’ Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes, served for seven years as Chair of the Chicago Area Breastfeeding Coalition, and is a Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association.
About Kathy
Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D., IBCLC, FAPA is a health psychologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and the Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, a small press specializing in women's health. Dr. Kendall-Tackett is Editor-in-Chief of two peer-reviewed journals: Clinical Lactation and Psychological Trauma. She is Fellow of the American Psychological Association in Health and Trauma Psychology, former President of the APA Division of Trauma Psychology. Dr. Kendall-Tackett specializes in women's-health research including breastfeeding, depression, trauma, and health psychology. Her research interests include the psychoneuroimmunology of maternal depression and the lifetime health effects of trauma. Dr. Kendall-Tackett has authored more than 400 articles or chapters and is the author or editor of 29 books on maternal depression, family violence, and breastfeeding. Her most recent books include: Psychology of Trauma 101 (2015) and The Science of Mother Infant Sleep (2014).
